Yahoo! Travel - general and specific travel information, all classified into a huge resource that could takes years to fully explore! JoeTourist's fave is the Travelogues section, of course.

Paesionline.com - Tourist Guide, hotel, travel and holiday - offers an excellent mix of tourist guides and information, as well as hotel and travel booking services.  JoeTourist is particularly interested in their Travel Journals - Traveller's Stories section.

Travel Photography Net - A website displaying the photos Laurenz Bobke has taken while traveling. There are some superb landscapes, nature, architecture and night photography to be found on his website.

Notes from the Road - Travels in City and Country -  quirky but very entertaining travelogues covering Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Spain and the USA. Even if you think you already know everything about these places, Notes from the Road will teach you more...and make a point of looking for the other-worldly photographs - they are superb.

Nationalgeographic.com Travel Guide - Full of information about destinations, how to get there and when to go, maps, travel news, photos, and feature articles.  Lots of free information, but they also try to sell you their products.
